How To Make Better Decisions In Your Life  by Raven Ishak

Happy Friday! I am keeping this message today short and sweet!  This weekend I want you to take time to self-reflect. Listed below are six helpful tips on how to make better decisions in your life.  I want you to take each one listed and reflect on how healthy your decision making process is. In addition, I want you to take inventory on what areas you feel requires growth.  So before you start this activity, take a deep breath and remember to be kind to yourself.  The sole purpose of this activity is to self reflect not to self destruct. Remember, real maturity is when you can recognize areas of improvement.  Listen, I am a firm believer, that whatsoever you sow, you shall also reap! If you want to experience something different, as I stated on the podcast yesterday, you must believe you deserve something better.  Ladies and gentlemen, it all starts with the choices we make! Okay, so lets put in the work and make better choices starting NOW! Enjoy the blog!

Every day, whether we like it or not, we have to make choices for our future selves. Whether it’s about where you’ll be living next year or how you’ll spend your money, making tough decisions is something that is bound to happen. Before you make a big decision, though, there are a few things you should consider.

I’m a very indecisive person. It’s a quality that I’m not proud to have, but I’m aware that it exists regardless. Recently, I’ve been trying to be more assertive in life by not asking others for advice before choosing to do something (or not do something). And it’s been great. There’s no doubt that making choices on your own can be a very scary thing. What happens if you make the wrong one? That’s the question goes through my head every time I’m faced with a huge choice to make. But it’s best not to live in fear, so here are some ways for you to make better decisions without the help of others. While it’s tempting to ask for advice for every big decision you have to make in your life, you need to practice making decisions by yourself and trust your own thoughts and actions. Once you start loving the decisions you’re making, you won’t need the approval of others.

  • What is Stress?
Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Stress is a normal part of life and can be experienced from your environment, your body, and your thoughts.
  • What is the S.M.I.L.E. Method?
The S.M.I.L.E. Method stands for Sleep, Meditation, Inventory, Laughter, and Education. It is a framework designed to help individuals manage stress and achieve work-life balance by incorporating these five elements into their daily routine. Think of the S.M.I.L.E. Method as the five love languages for your stress.
  • What is the difference between chronic stress and regular stress?
Regular stress, also known as acute stress, is short-term and arises from specific situations or events. Chronic stress, on the other hand, is long-term and occurs when an individual is exposed to stressors over an extended period. Chronic stress can have more severe health implications compared to regular stress.
  • How can stress affect you mentally, emotionally, and physically?
Stress can have a wide range of effects on an individual. Mentally, it can lead to anxiety, depression, and difficulty concentrating. Emotionally, it can cause feelings of overwhelm, irritability, and mood swings. Physically, stress can result in headaches, muscle tension, fatigue, and a weakened immune system.
